Heather

Heather has worked full time in the field of veterinary medicine since 2009 and has a background in both preventive medicine and emergency care. She became an RVT in 2015 and joined the Gateway team in 2020.

Heather has a keen interest in Fear Free medicine and enjoys working with clients and patients to help make every visit to our hospital a positive one. She finds it extremely rewarding to see patients change over time, from fearful, stressed, or anxious, to calm, confident, and happy. She has a soft spot for cats and especially enjoys working with the feline friends who come in to visit us. She never turns down an opportunity to get some kitty cuddles!

Heather lives with her husband and children. She has a chihuahua (Hopper), an American Paint Horse (Commander) and two fish (Storm and Cupcake). In her spare time, Heather enjoys reading, gardening, tending to her houseplants, and has recently started exploring drawing and painting.
